I think you care more about Herbert than your family because you were willing to be his benefactor and help him rather than give some of your money to your family. Why? What has Herbert done for you other than be a friend. Joe has been a friend and your sister and sister's husband at least fed you and took care of you. If your helping Herbert, you should also be helping your family in London. Seriously go get a doctor for your sister. She's dying/dead [later]. If you had given some of your money to a good doctor maybe you could have saved her.

Why did you think that Miss.Havisham was your benefactor? After all, she is the person that made the girl you "claim to be in love with" act cruel and exceptionally rude towards you...Do you feel Miss. Havisham is a good person, or have you just overlooked everything she has ever said or taught Estella to say to you? -Paige F.

Why do you believe that you are destined to marry Estella even though she so cruel to you?
~Alex If you found out today that Estella had no intrest in you at all and she left London for America and you had no money to chase after her with, what would you do? Do you actually want to be a gentleman or are you just learning to be one for Estella? -Michelle
Hey Pip-
Just wondering whether or not you would have become a gentleman if you knew that it was not because you were to marry Estella?
Thanks!
-Morgan
Pip, if you were to redevelope a relationship with Biddy, would you still love Estella?
-Evan
Pip, if you did succeed on your quest for Estella's heart, how do you think your life would change? Would you be happier? Would you miss your family?
